Lauren has been acting in the Palm Beach area since she was 14 years old. She traveled with the performance group Up With People to Europe, Canada, and parts of the United States. She then returned to Florida to attend college at the University of Central Florida, where she earned a Bachelors Degree in Theater. While in Orlando, she honed her improv skills with iPlay at UCF, Standprov, Six Degrees, and took classes at Sak Comedy Lab. Upon graduation, she worked for three years at a sketch comedy and rock and roll club in Kentucky, where she was a featured singer and sketch comedian. Lauren has done commercial and industrial work for Duffy's Sports Grill and Labor Finders, and wrapped a pilot shoot with her former sketch comedy and improv troupe in Jupiter, Florida. You might recognize her as the chick with the neckbomb on the summer finale of Burn Notice. Or maybe not.
Lauren is an accomplished singer, comedian, and writer. She created and writes a web comic, PMS Adventures. She wrote, produced, and performed in The Jiggles and Giggles Comedy Fest held on Saturday, April 23rd, 2011 at the Mos'Art Theatre in Lake Park, benefiting Gilda's Club of South Florida. This unique event raised $1,900 to go towards support programs for cancer patients at the Fort Lauderdale Gilda's Club. Jiggles and Giggles 2 was held on July 9th at the Just The Funny Theater in Miami, where they raised $250 additional dollars for Gilda's Club. Jiggles and Giggles returned for Breast Cancer Awareness Month at the Mos'Art in Lake Park on Saturday, October 15th and in Miami at the Just the Funny Theater on October 22nd, raising $1,000 for Gilda's Club.
Lauren recently took a stand up class, performed her first 5 minute set at the Palm Beach Improv, and has been performing at open mics ever since, recently opening for Adrian Mesa. Lauren sang at Reach Dance Company's Golden Age of Hollywood and Some Like it Hot at the Eissey Theater in Palm Beach Gardens. She was chosen as a finalist in the Palm Beach Idol competition at the Maltz Theater in Jupiter, FL in 2012. Lauren co-founded The Rejects Improv, a 5 person troupe that performed Simply Improv, a 90 minute mix of comedic,musical, and dance improv. She shaved her head for Kid's Cancer Research on March 17th, 2014 after raising $5,325 for St. Baldrick's. She is currently a member of Sick Puppies Comedy, a Boca based improv troupe that recently performed at the Tampa Improv Festival. _
